The church makes every effort to safeguard the welfare of children and vulnerable adults involved in worship and all church-based activities, both on and off our premises. Church leaders and all people working with children or vulnerable adults are trained in safeguarding matters and DBS checked.

Copies of Great Ayton with Easby Methodist Church's Safeguarding Policy and the Methodist Church of Great Britain's Safeguarding Policy Statement are available on request from the church safeguarding coordinator.

Reporting safeguarding concerns

If you have any concerns that a child or a vulnerable adult might be at risk or being harmed, you should contact one of the people below immediately. Nothing in the policy prevents an individual contacting the local authority or the police if they consider someone is at risk or subject to harm.
